Even when life looks fine from the outside, it can feel heavy underneath. Maybe you are holding things together for everyone else and running low yourself, or replaying decisions long after you have made them. You do not have to keep pushing through alone, and you do not have to have any of it figured out before we begin.

My Approach:

We start by building something real.

My work is warm, collaborative, and grounded in person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy. I begin by building a genuine relationship, because I believe that is what makes everything else possible. We move at your pace, and nothing is forced or judged along the way.

From there, we look at how your thoughts, feelings, and patterns connect, and we practice realistic ways to handle things differently. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling understood and supported, and also gently challenged in the ways that help you grow.

A Little About Me

Outside the therapy room.

Before I became a therapist, I spent years as an elementary special education teacher. I loved that work, and it still shapes how I show up, especially with people who have often felt overlooked. It is part of why this feels less like a job to me and more like the thing I was meant to do.

Outside the office, you will usually find me baking, tending a growing collection of plants, reading, or traveling somewhere new with my dog not far behind. I believe being truly seen and heard is where healing starts, and that is what I try to offer from the first session on.

What we might work on together.

Common reasons people come to me

  • Overthinking and self-doubt

  • People-pleasing and setting boundaries

  • Reassurance-seeking and relationship anxiety

  • Anxiety, stress, and burnout

  • Life transitions and identity shifts

  • Decision-making and quieting the "what ifs"

I work especially well with:

  • Teens and young adults

  • People with disabilities and the families around them

  • Anyone who has often felt overlooked or unheard

If you do not see yourself on either list, reach out anyway. The first conversation is where we figure out whether we are a good fit.

Getting Started

Reaching out is the first step.

If any of this resonates, I would be glad to hear from you. We will start with a short consultation to talk through what is bringing you in, how I work, and whether we are the right fit, before you commit to anything.

Ali is a provisionally licensed counselor practicing under Dr. Bono's supervision. For current fees, insurance, and billing questions, see our fees and insurance page or ask when you reach out, and we will walk through all of it with you.
